TOP TIPS FOR THE NIGHT AFTER
The Christmas party season can take its toll on our skin just when we want to look our best. Here are our top tips for surviving the night after!
- Smoke, alcohol and general lack of sleep causes eye redness, which isn't ideal if you plan to go out again the following night or need to look your best for work. Use whitening eye drops and then apply a pale, shimmery powder to the inner corners of your eyes to restore brightness!
- If your hair is looking flat, don't fall into the trap of using more and more product as it will weigh hair down even further and make it look greasy. Mist a little water over your locks to reactivate the hairspray already there.
- The only way to see the full benefits of beauty routine is to keep it regimented even if you are having a few late nights. Don't forget to take your make up off whatever the time because you will reap the benefits in the long run.
- Treat your feet. Wearing heels for consecutive nights can really take its toll. Before you start getting ready, soak your feet in a basin of warm water mixed with a handful of fragrant bath salts for 10 minutes and then wash your feet, file and moisturize to keep skin soft and feet looking and feeling good.
- Peach blush beats pink for a pick-me-up the night after. Peachy tones will help make the skin look brighter- not only does this give you a fresh-faced look, but it will also help to detract focus from dark circles around the eyes.
- Do not over-compensate with very heavy makeup. People are less likely to notice the odd sign of tiredness than they are to wonder what you're hiding under several layers of cakey foundation or powder.
- Late nights can often means tired, unbalanced skin so let a nutritious, deep cleansing and moisturising mask come to your aid. Try mashing 1 banana with a tablespoon of honey, add a few drops of orange juice and apply! Instantly soothing and great for oily skin.

Then, seal it off by applying moisturizer immediately afterwards. You might feel rough after your big night out, but at least your skin won't give you away!
